Panel 1: Shen, cloaked in shadow due to the contrast from the light outside, is kicking a door in so violently that it flies off the hinges. Only his eyes are visible in the shadow.ALT
Panel 2: A person as sitting at a laptop, holding a gaming controller connected to it. They have messy hair and dark shadows under their eyes, and are wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants. Around them are scattered energy drink containers, ramen rontainers, chip bags, and and napkins. There's also a floor mattress. This person is clearly a shut-in.ALT
Panel 3: Shen, still mostly cloaked in shadow, points forward at them with a severe expression on his face, saying "you thought you could escape pride month?"ALT
Panel 4: Confetti falls as the shut-in (still in sweatshirt/sweatpants), is paraded through the streets on a stage atop a colorful car, as crowds cheer on both sides. Above them are two drones hovering in the air carrying a banner. The banner has the pride flag on it and arrows pointing down at them.ALT

Question for fanfics readers

What can cause that you stop reading the fanficton?

Story

Characters

Lenght

Focus on details (e.g. long/short description of the environment)

Grammar and spelling mistakes

Hard read text (e.g. lack of paragraphs, long sentences, using only lower-cases)

Trigger warnings

Something else (specify in comments if you like)

Additional question for fanfics readers

Woooow! My first poll reached its end and I would like to share my comments!! I am happy that lot of you guys share your opinion. I would like to thank all of you who made any interaction and attend the poll. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Especially thank you for reblogs which helped me to reach nice number of votes: @ellipsisthegreat; @spectrophobiia; @ill-kidnap-all-the-stars; @perc1ty; @strange-little-spy; @velvety-vixen; @fauxhound; @pyros-random-thoughts; @maligatorthealligator; @leo-forgot-to-create; @cometmoons; @chaoticbatfam

I have to admit that I am surprised by this result - to be honest I was thinking that I am the only one who consider hard-to-read text as reading blocker.

This brings me to additional question….

What “hard-to-read text” issue you consider as the most annoying in fanfiction?

Text is not divided into paragraphs

Text is written only with lowercase letters

Sentences are very long

Sentences are too short

Hard vocabulary

Font (type, size)

Mix of issues

Clark Kent looks at his phone, where it shows that he's tried to call Lana Lang but his call was declined by her. Clark narrates "There's always tomorrow, right?". We pull out to see Clark is at his work desk at the Daily Planet, nervously clicking away at his pen, waiting for Lana to respond. Clark looks at his phone hopelessly. "Who am I kidding?" he asks. "Looking out of it, Smallville" says a voice. Turns out, it's Lois Lane! Lois is depicted as a Chinese Indonesian woman with brown skin. She opens the door to the office, with her purse. She's ready to clock out of work "I wouldn't waste a Friday like this on an all-nighter. And that's saying something coming from me." Clark and Lois are in the office elevators together now. Lois taps at the elevator button while Clark still nervously looks at his phone. Lois says "word of advice; if you're stumped on something, try walking it out. Get some fresh air." Clark replies "ah well, it's not entirely work related, Ms. Lane." Lois looks away with a distant expression "I wasn't talking about work either." The elevator doors open with a DING! Sound effect. "I know I've got some extra walking to do if I'm going to catch the last bus home." says Lois. Clark is surprised "BUS? What happened to your motorbike?" Lois walks out of the elevator doors, hand waving behind her "It got totaled in that Parasite fight with Superman, remember." Clark stumbles behind her "Oh. Right." Clark looks at Lois walking away, regretful. Lois looks back as Clark replies "Wait. Let me walk you home, Lois."ALT
We see blurry city lights as Clark and Lois talk. Lois says "I can take care of myself fine, Clark." Clark replies "I know, I just want to make up for- um. It's safer this way." Clark and Lois stand at a bus stop together. Lois looks suspiciously at a nervous-but-trying-to-hide-it-with-a-smile Clark. "And you're right, I could use some air." Clark assures her. Lois asks "If you weren't holed up in the office for work, then what was keeping you there?" Clark narrates to himself "Should've just said it was work." Clark coughs loudly "Just some personal stuff." Lois and Clark enter a bus together. Clark walks in as Lois pays her fare "ah. Trouble in paradise, is it? You and Lang." "Nothing gets past you." Clark replies. They're both seated. Lois playfully teases Clark "hey, bumps on the road are normal. Healthy even. As much as I'd like to cherish your current productivity slump, it's making our rivalry dull." Clark looks worryingly at his phone, which shows his phone wallpaper is of him and Lana holding hands as Clark kisses her on the cheek and she laughs. Lois continues "So if you need to get something off your chest...you can tell me, I won't judge." Clark pauses before explaining his situation to Lois, who listens intently. "Lana and I, we used to date back in high school. I loved her so much, but..."We see a flashback of young Clark and Lana sitting in a field of grass to an open blue sky. "...we weren't ready for each other back then. Things were changing. We barely had any idea of who we were and what we wanted from each other." Another flashback of older Clark and Lana in the rain together. Lana holds an umbrella to protect Clark from the rain. "When we found each other again, I thought- 'this is it! We got another chance!'" Back to the present where Clark leans against the bus window, looking at his reflection which is of Superman, not Clark Kent. "Lana knows every part of me, even the parts I'm not proud of. She felt the same about us getting back together. And for the first time in a while, I was excited about tomorrow."ALT
Lois lightly teases Clark as he looks to the side, smiling like a good sport. "You were high school sweethearts? No wonder you're so comfortable around each other. How'd you two mess that up?" Lois asks. "Hah" Clark remarks. He looks out to the city lights reflecting on the bus window "it's not something I know how to place. All these little things started building up and...I think I've mistaken being known with being understood." Lois presses the request stop button "have you and Lana talked it out?" "we've tried. A lot" Clark replies. Lois and Clark leave the bus together "jokes on me for thinking I could have it all." Clark says. "You're treating 'understanding' like it's a tall ask from your girlfriend." Lois points out. She walks ahead as Clark looks on sadly behind her. "When was the last time you felt understood like that?" Lois asks. Clark begins to respond "I...". We see a flashback to Lois and Superman from the Private Interview event, where Lois entrusts Superman with her Indonesian name. Clark recalls "...I guess it's been a while." We see Clark dejectedly in profile, continuing to walk as blurry city lights are in the distance. "I just worry about messing things up again." Clark says. Lois replies, "Clark, you don't speak up enough. You're scared of getting upset and how that looks coming from someone like you. But when we don't let ourselves get mad, we don't get it through to people that we're hurting." Lois walks past a toy store display window, which has a Superman action figure standing proudly amongst some letter blocks "so do yourself a favor and let yourself feel hurt. You don't have to act invulnerable all the time." We see Lois and Clark walk past the toy store from the inside- as Clark glances as the little Superman action figure. He narrates, "and just like that. She sees me." Clark says "...thanks, Lois."ALT
Clark and Lois enter the subway station from the street "I bet you didn't plan on spending the night talking about my problems." Clark says. "You're not the only one with a troubled love life right now." Lois replies. They're both in the underground station now, going through the turn stile gate. Lois continues to playfully tease Clark "I know it's hard to tell with all the work I get done." Clark eyerolls, smiling "very funny. You can talk about it too if you'd like." Clark notices Lois looks a little more somber "it's not something I need help with. I've come to terms with it. Still..." Lois explains. We see a subway sign for "Fleischer" station as the announcer says "doors will open on the left. Please mind the gap." Lois continues "...I don't mind airing it out." Clark and Lois are now sitting in the train amongst a crowd of people. Lois says "How do I start this? There's this guy. This guy I really liked for some time." Clark listens as Lois looks to the side and explains "Being around him felt like I found someone who really understood what it means...to do good in spite of everything this country throws at people like us." We see a flashback of Lois among a crowd of blurred people, looking up to a bright sky- Lois' narration continues "I'm inspired to be better whenever I see how much he gives to others. And I think he felt the same about me. For a while." We see Superman levitating in the sky against the sun- his back is turned away so we don't see his face. "Until one day, there's this distance between us. And I'm left here wondering what happened." Lois narrates. Back to present day in the subway, Clark adjusts his glasses nervously as Lois looks ahead with a dreamy expression. "Have you asked him?" Clark asks. "That's it, isn't it?" Lois replies. "I never really knew him, did I?"ALT
The subway train travels past a billboard of Superman. The billboard depicts Superman flying into the sky towards a sun, with the words "Man of Tomorrow" next to him. Lois continues "I mean, we talked. Sometimes he'd share something personal. But I barely know what he's like outside of this face he puts on for people." From the outside of the train window, we see Lois looking at the billboard, while Clark faces away- with the billboard reflection projected on him. Lois explains "Maybe he could feel that I've been projecting this idea of a person onto him." Lois looks dreamily at the billboard "falling in love with the idea of a guy. It's embarrassing." Lois looks away from the window, lightly chuckling at herself "Like I'm some pre-teen with a crush on a rock star." Clark looks at her reassuringly "you're too hard on yourself." Lois looks to Clark "It's all right, Clark. Besides, I can tell he's found someone else." Clark is surprised! "Really?" We flashback to Superman in the day time. He's facing away from us, but looks over his shoulder, smiling happily with his eyes closed. Lois narrates "He's got this absent-minded look some guys have y'know? The kind where they're excited to go home and share tomorrow with someone." Back to present day, Clark looks somberly as Lois talks off panel. "I just hope whoever he's with...I hope they're treating him well." Lois says. Clark then looks surprised as Lois shows a phone in front of his face. "Welp! No point getting hung up on a guy who's moved on!" Lois exclaims. "Huh?" Clark says. "How does 'Asian woman seeks to be dominated' sound?" Lois calmly says as she types into her phone. Clark is stressed "WHAT". Lois continues "No, you're right. I'm changing it to 'Asian woman seeks to dominate.' I don't want to be misleading here." We pull out to see the train is empty now, only Clark and Lois are here. "But do you have to word it like that-" Clark says, wincing. Lois is un-phased "Listen Kent, the second you win your first Pulitzer as a career woman, your dating pool dries up. It's slim pickings."ALT
We look to a monitor projecting the weather forecast in the train as Clark and Lois talk. "Only the best for you, Ms. Lane." "In spite of the odds, we persist." Lois replies. The announcer says "Next stop. Shuster station. Interchange station to the Siegel line. The two leave the station and continue walking through the city together. "You're really committing to walking me all the way home?" Lois asks. "Yep" Clark happily replies. As they walk, Clark narrates to himself: "I never know what to say to Lois. I'm always treading between what Superman knows about her and what Clark Kent can say." The two laugh, clearly comfortable together. "But at some point, Lois gets through all that. And somehow, I'm just myself around her." We see a tall art deco apartment building. "Well, this is me." Lois says. "Takes a while without the motorbike, huh?" Clark asks. Lois looks to the side "Yeah, but I don't mind. It's..." "Scenic?" Clark interjects. "Right." Lois says. Lois and Clark look at each other, smiling. Then they quickly part from each other, blushing and looking away. "So thanks. Thanks for walking me home, Clark." "Of course. Anytime, Ms. Lane." Lois walks over to her apartment building and looks back at Clark. "Oh and kampung boy? No matter how things turn out with Lana, I know the two of you are going to come out the better for it." Clark then asks "How do you know?" Clark smiles as Lois answers him "I have hope. That's what these things are all about." Lois enters the apartment as Clark watches. "I'll see you tomorrow, maybe?" Lois asks. "You'll see me, Lois." Clark replies. As she shuts the door, Clark flies upwards to the sky "Good night, Ms. Liando."ALT
Clark flies higher and higher into the sky. We see city lights below him. His eyes closed as he takes in the air. Clark takes his glasses off as he flies. He narrates "Tonight, I'm getting some air. Turns out, when you're constantly saving people and cities, you're not always giving space for your own problems to breathe. Being known. Being understood. Being myself. I still don't know what that looks like for someone like me." Clark passes the clouds, making it to a night sky full of stars on the other side. He narrates: "But right now, as I hear this city fall asleep, I'm looking out to the horizon." Clark looks behind him, as light touches his shoulders. He turns around to see the sun rising in the distance. He smiles. "And I'm hopeful about giving tomorrow a try."ALT

Today. Tomorrow.” a Superman fan comic about Clark Kent, Lois Lane and relationships.

We wanted to tackle one of the trickiest parts of Superman mythos; and that’s the entangled romance between Clark Kent, Lana Lang, Lois Lane and Superman. Often times these more mundane parts of Superman get pushed to the side, when they can give so much insight into the characters and what they’re seeking from each other.

One thing you need to know about English is we don’t give a FUCK about the hard letter “T” unless it’s the first shit or the last shit we see in a syllable.
Look: Caddle ranch. Putado chips. Conservation. Anthony. I don’o. Cach the bus. Ged addit.
Hard “T” is lucky to get noticed in the middle even half the time, and if it’s after an S you can forget about it. Cassel. Lissen. Wesdern.
